PowerBoat Handling Course


Power Boat Handling Course:

As part of the clubs new approach to supporting volunteers gain new skills, we will be running a series training programs throughout the off season, in a aim to up skill our members / volunteers.

The first of these will be a PowerBoat Handling Course to be held at the club on the evening of the 17th May with a theory session and short multi choice test on marine rules and powerboat handling techniques, followed by practical on water training session covering such items as coming alongside, holding station and man-overboard rescue techniques on the Sunday the 21st May.

This Course is great for anyone and no previous experience or boat licence is required. It is also a requirement for those that want to become Sailing Instructors and will be suitable for those that simply want to up-skill or refresh their knowledge on boat rules or handling techniques..

Normally this course would cost over $250 but to club members the cost is only $30.00 and thats to cover the Australian Sailing Administration costs .. follow the link below to register
